Up in the air... almost!

Last week, we were fortunate enough to go and look at a beautiful new plane that a local private jet company had acquired and Braxton jumped on the opportunity! He was so excited all week to go and look at an AIRPLANE up close and in person. Sure we have been on numerous flights to and from a few places, but to have an airplane to yourself, including the cockpit, was a really cool experience for him. He and his best bud, John David, loved every minute of it and had such a great time pretending while lounging up in the pilots seats. They read maps, pretended to touch the instruments and flew the plane to Hawaii and back. Oh their imaginations in full force... so precious to watch and listen.

Happy Birthday to ME!

My birthday was also this past week and I dare not say how old I am... it is getting up there! My sweet grandmother came in town to celebrate and to see her adorable grandchildren and on this specific night Miss Harper was Chucky & Sleeping Beauty. She had been to the doctor earlier in the day for her 4 month check up (I know - 4 months!) and was not a happy camper after receiving her 4 vaccinations. So, luckily for us, after Chucky made an appearance, she fell fast asleep, only to be woken up at the end of the party to see her Nana.

My mom made a fabulous dinner and all the family was there to celebrate - thanks everyone for a wonderful birthday celebration:)

Happy Birthday, Blake!

Blake turned 1 year old this past Thursday, August 12th and the Bauer family went out to celebrate at Walnut Creek Country Club - about the only place all the kids can run wild without getting too many bad looks. I can't believe a whole year has gone by since she was born... Braxton absolutely adores his sweet cousin and he looks forward to seeing her almost every weekend at the farm.

She still has a big shin-dig coming up next weekend... so stay tuned for more fun pics!
