2nd Birthday Party Pics - part III

So, we are missing Birthday Party #2 pics because we were having too much fun!  Party #2 was on Braxton's real birthday, Friday, June 26th, and we spent all day at Ridglea Country Club swimming with friends and family.
Here are pictures from this past Sunday at the Farm with the family. We had the best time... once again swimming, eating and this time, riding horses! Braxton's grandparents gave him a saddle for his horse, Smartie, and a whole "Cowboy" outfit to go with it!  It is to die for...

Next best this to being naked... just in a swim dipe!
The child is already diving!  Seriously. Where does he get this?

2nd Birthday Party Pics - part I

So, I am sure every child has multiple birthday parties and celebrates all week long... that's what we did last year and that is all that Braxton knows! For birthday party #1 we celebrated on Father's Day with mostly family at Shady Oaks Country Club. There was lots of swimming, sliding, eating, drinking and loads of laughter!  Everything that makes for a great party.  The weather was fantastic and we finished up the night playing on the beautiful golf course with the kids.

Birthday boy...

His awesome Uncle Alex playing teaching him somersaults and making him want to throw up!
Too precious...
Birthday cake minus a few Thomas Trains that had to be removed to lick the icing!

Father's Day fun...

This Father's day was one of the best yet and I am seriously concerned about topping this year's extravaganza!
The day started off with Braxton giving Daddy two awesome books and two really sweet cards. Then we all met over at my friend Francesca's and sent the Fathers off to play golf at Ridglea while the Moms and kiddos all made arts and crafts presents for them to come home too! What a day and what a mess... but oh what fun!

Loving every minute of it...

The happy Father's Day foursome later that night at B's birthday party...
And the finished product...

Our little dentist in the making...

Now I believe that dentistry could very well be in Braxton's future. I don't think that his father  believes this to be the best idea for him (he wants him to be an oil tycoon!!!)...but boy does he love it! He has practically grown up in the dentist office and pretty much runs the show up at Mansfield Family Dentistry.  Ask anyone, they will let you know.  Promise.

Here he is acting as the patient... he loves to have his mouth looked at and water squirted/sucked/etc.

And here he is acting as the dentist working on Dr. Bauer... his favorite patient! This gives Braxton an extreme amount of pleasure and we all just stand around and giggle!!!

And his second favorite patient... his Aunt Shelley!
Who knows what the future holds...

Good bye, Grandma:(

My grandmother has been here for the past 2 months recovering from hip replacement surgery and today she left to go home to Horseshoe Bay. Braxton has had so much fun getting to know "Grandma Sybie" and she has really enjoyed seeing him grow. We are sad to see her go but thrilled she is doing so well.  We had a goodbye dinner last night at my mom's and here are some pictures from our great time...

The Rainforest Cafe

We took Braxton to Grapevine Mills Mall to one of his favorite haunts, The Rainforest Cafe. He loves all of the faux animals and the crazy noises they make. He usually starts off a little scared of everything and then quickly warms up after a few minutes.  Scott and I love those few minutes where he is scared because he is extra-lovey and clingy... something a little different from the independent child he likes to be the rest of the time!  Here are some cute pictures from our adventure:)
So excited...

Tired boy!
Here's a picture of the beautiful rainbow we saw on our way home, right near our house.  It was right after one of the crazy storms we had been having last week!
